CHER'S NEW ALBUM RELEASE MARCH 2013

Warner Bros has announced that Cher’s new album will be released late March 2013.  Fans would have expected an announcement by the diva herself but in typical fashion confirmation was made quietly by Livia Tortella, Warner Bros. Records Co-President/COO, on the red carpet at Billboard’s 2012 Women in Music event with no confirmation on Cher’s official website.  Cher’s album will be among other new album’s from  Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Goo Goo Dolls and Avenged Sevenfold.

With the promotion of Woman’s World now coming to a holt, fans are left waiting and confused with no word on when the lead single will be released for airplay on radio and purchase on iTunes.  There are now question marks over whether Woman’s World will become the first single after mixed reviews, the single has received only 395,000 YouTube views since it was first unveiled, with momentum fading.  Cher has described the album on twitter as ”Eclectic! Lots of dance, but none [are] SAME KIND OF DANCE ! Have Big ass Choruses,Some HEART RIPPERS!” and mentioned it has the ability to be BIGGER than Believe.  Hopefully with STRONG promotions and CLEAR communication this can happen because to date the promotional activity and hype has been rather limited.

In other twitter news CHER has unleashed another political motivated rant against the War in Afghanistan “SOME IN THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION & POLITICAL CRIMINALS IN AFGHANISTAN WILL HAVE MADE BILLIONS ON THE BODIES OF THESE SOLDIERS !”.  ”RANT,BUT I DON’T CARE ! BRAVE AMERICANS R DYYING IN A COUNTRY WHOSE “ SOLDIERS “KILL THEM ! ITS MORE THEN WE SHOULD TOLERATE !” It should be agreed that US and Coalition troops have made this world a safer place and should be congratulated for their efforts and bravery in what is a most complex and difficult situation.

Cher’s Private Russian Gig

Cher has been talking a lot on twitter about her upcoming private mini concert to be held for a one-off private gig in Russia December 14th 2012 in Moscow.  Revealing that her set list has been compiled and will include classic hits including Believe and Turn Back Time.  Cher was given a list of songs that they loved and picked the set list from the list.  ”I’m going to rehearse for Russian show! “Go’n rehearse Russian show! Want 2 C set list ? Strong enough,All or Nothing,I found Some1,Beat goes on All I really want 2do,Shoop Shoop, Gypsies,Tramps & Thieves, Half Breed,Welcome 2 Burlesque,Take me home , Heart of stone,Turn back time & Believe ! 6 changes ( maybe 7) FYI”  This will be a great warm up for Cher’s 2013 World Tour and will be interesting to see if Cher also performs her new single Woman’s World.

Womans World Leaked on Itunes

Billboard wrote that Cher’s Womans World would hit american radiostations on Monday and it would be leaked on itunes Tuesday. But that was wrong said Cher’s publicist and said it wouldn’t be able to buy it on itunes it’s only for online streaming. Now they changed it and now you are able to buy it, on itunes Thursday and it’s on the radio on monday as planned.

Cher’s political campaign against Mitt Romney has continued with full force, this time with her friend Kathy Griffin by her side.  Cher and Kathy Griffin have released a campaign video accusing Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney of wanting to turn back time on women’s rights and supporting Richard Mourdock.  “Actually Mitt, we won’t be joining you,” said Cher, “because there’s a lot at stake at this election, especially for women and people who like women and respect them.”  Cher continues with “Honestly, this is sick stuff,” and then continued to attack Mourdock for his views on rape as well as Missouri senatorial candidate Todd Akin.

While  the majority of American’s are placing emphasis on who will be best to manage the economy, create jobs and protect and prosper the nation, Cher continues to concentrate on Romney’s stance on woman’s issues and the issue of visitation rights of rapists.   Cher is trying desperately to reach out to woman and persuade them to vote for Obama with a recent poll indicating that women’s enthusiasm for Obama as president has slipped this year, making his road to re-election more difficult.   As the election nears, Mr. Romney has been playing down social issues and trying to project a more moderate stance on matters such as abortion in an effort to court female voters. The AP-GfK poll, taken Friday through Tuesday, shows Mr. Romney pulling even with Mr. Obama among women at 47-47 after lagging by 16 points a month earlier.
